Let the landscape shape you.
Auster
Paradise Valley is the essence of Montana—raw and expansive, where snow-capped peaks rise above winding rivers and the wild breathes freely across open plains.
Building connection to the people, places and passions of Paradise Valley, Montana.
AMB West partnered with TMBR to create the foundational brand platform and visual identity for Auster, a new hospitality property set in the heart of Paradise Valley. The goal: build a brand that captures the rare blend of rugged natural beauty, refined comfort, and deep community roots that define this unique Montana experience.
Paradise Valley is iconic, but most visitors only pass through it—capturing views without truly connecting to the land. Auster needed a brand that would position the property not just as another place to stay, but as a gateway into the Valley’s spirit: immersive, authentic, and shaped by the landscape itself. The identity also needed to reflect AMB West’s commitment to stewardship, local culture, and responsible hospitality.
Delivering strategy and visual design rooted in place, community, and story.
TMBR developed a complete brand platform, grounding Auster in the themes of connection, heritage, and open land stewardship. Through strategic workshopping and on-the-ground learning, we distilled the core of the Auster experience into a set of brand pillars, personality traits, and user experience principles that guided the design system. The visual identity blends modern refinement with Montana heritage through custom type, Western details, an earthy palette, flexible marks, and illustrations inspired by local land and wildlife—creating a cohesive system rooted in place.

Authentic, grounded, and enduring.
The resulting brand brought clarity, meaning, and visual cohesion to a new property poised to become a central touchpoint for travelers, locals, and the surrounding community. Auster’s identity now serves as a strategic and creative foundation for the build-out of the property experience—from communications and digital presence to environmental design and guest materials.
